Strike notice at the Port of Montreal

(CN Rail Notice) We would like to inform you that the Port of Montreal longshoremen's union has issued a 72-hour strike notice, starting this morning at 7:00 a.m. EST. Consequently, the Termont terminals will be closed from Monday September 30 to Thursday October 3.

In anticipation of this strike, CN will stop accepting export traffic to the TERMONT and VIAU terminals from Sunday, September 29 to Tuesday, October 1. We are working closely with stakeholders and will provide updates as the situation evolves.

Please note that diversions to other ports served by CN may result in surcharges for volumes exceeding capacity commitments in accordance with Tariff 9100 items 10500 and 10700.
